This section of Photographic Services provides an overview of Eric's most recent work in Architecture, Product and Service, and Portraiture and Event photography. In the service of art and preservation, Eric has been photographing and exhibiting Structural Catabolism, a vision of the built environment and it's reanimation through adaptive reuse.
Photography has always been paramount to Eric P. Laverty’s vision of the world. He established his photography practice Laverty Studio in New York City during the days following 9-11, responding to an altered landscape and in deference to the immediacy of the digital process. Vowing to always have a camera at hand, he purchased his first digital capture device and was quickly reconnected by the magic of harnessing light. Even in the darkest of spaces, it found some source of illumination to process even a noisy little image.
